1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using TithiTap ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and BytezTech.

2. About TithiTap

TithiTap is a Hindu Panchang application developed by BytezTech. The App provides information on tithis (lunar days), festivals, auspicious timings (muhurtas), and other Hindu calendar data. TithiTap is designed to be an accessible, offline-capable reference tool for individuals and families.

3. Eligibility

TithiTap is intended for users aged 13 and above. By using the App, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 18, you should use the App only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian. BytezTech does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

4. Account Creation

Account creation is optional — most features of TithiTap are available without an account. If you choose to create an account, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. BytezTech reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts found to be in violation of these Terms.

5. Location & Regional Accuracy

TithiTap may request access to your device's location to deliver regionally accurate Panchang calculations. Location access is optional — you may manually select your region instead. Granting location permission helps improve the precision of sunrise/sunset timings, tithi transitions, and festival dates. While location calculations happen dynamically, your coordinates (latitude/longitude) and selected city are securely stored in your user profile on Firebase (if you create an account) so your preferences can sync across your devices. This data is never shared with third parties.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use TithiTap only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with all applicable laws and regulations. You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App; use the App to distribute malware or harmful content; access the App's backend APIs or services in an unauthorised manner; or resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit any part of the App without BytezTech's prior written consent.

8. Intellectual Property

All content within TithiTap — including but not limited to the App design, code, algorithms, text, graphics, and the TithiTap name and logo — is the intellectual property of BytezTech and is protected under applicable copyright and trademark laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. No rights are transferred to you beyond what is expressly stated in these Terms.

9. Third-Party Services

TithiTap integrates third-party services including Firebase (by Google) for authentication and data storage. Your use of these services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. BytezTech is not responsible for the practices or content of any third-party services. We recommend reviewing the relevant policies of all third-party providers whose services are used within the App.

10. Notifications

TithiTap may send push notifications for festival reminders, tithi alerts, and auspicious timing notifications, subject to your device settings and in-app preferences. You can enable or disable notifications at any time from the App settings or your device's notification management settings. Disabling notifications will not affect your ability to use core App features.

11. Future Monetization

TithiTap is currently provided free of charge. BytezTech reserves the right to introduce optional premium features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases in the future. Any such changes will be clearly communicated to users in advance, and free core functionality will remain accessible. Your continued use of the App after any pricing changes are introduced constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

BytezTech reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to TithiTap at any time, with or without notice, if you are found to be in breach of these Terms or if continued access would be harmful to the App, other users, or BytezTech. You may also terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

14. Changes to These Terms

BytezTech may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Your continued use of TithiTap following the posting of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

15. Governing Law

These Terms and any disputes arising from your use of TithiTap shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal proceedings shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Surat, Gujarat, India. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to be valid and enforceable.
